Elie Wiesel attacks pope over Holocaust bishop

At one time I had great respect for Mr. Wiesel. One would think a man of his stature would know that the excommunications and the lifting thereof have nothing to do with Bishop Williamson's historical or political views. It is sad that so many "intellectuals" are showing that they are blind to the truth and worse, that their blindness is a choice.

It makes one realize that there can be no true intelligence without the guidance of the Holy Ghost, no matter what one's religion.

Lest anyone wonder, let me also say that I believe Mgr. Williamson is a man who is also blind to the truth by choice and has been so for some time.

I do not share Father Bailey's respect for Elie Wiesel, who has been prevaricating for fifty years and more. If the Weasel should make up his mind about which camp he was liberated from--he has variously named Auschwitz, Buchenwald, and Dachau--Catholics might then, but only then, consider him credible on other matters.
