"A lay oversight committee appointed by Cardinal Sean O’Malley of the Boston Archdiocese recently issued a report that the Archdiocese made public last week strongly critical of the Archdiocese’s handling of the parish reconfiguration process. The report, generated by the Parish Reconfiguration Fund Oversight Committee and published in the Nov. 16 issue of The Pilot, paints the Archdiocese as an intensely cloistered, defensive organization that for years stymied the attempts of the committee to fully account for the money made through the closing of parishes across the city.
